Product Description

Blanc de Blancs – 100% Chardonnay grapes from Villers-Marmery

“Notes of honeysuckle, peppermint, bergamot, lemon heart with a powerful chalky and minerally intensity”

Delightful as an apéritif and pairs beautifully with oysters, sashimi, scallops & an ashy goat cheese

Named for the 6th generation daughter of the house, Henriet-Bazin is a marriage of two of the oldest families in Champagne. The original Henriet family specialized in Champagne production whereas the Bazins were grape growers. Villers-Marmery is classified as Premier Cru, the single village in Montagne de Reims to be planted 99% with Chardonnay grapes (typically Montagne de Reims is Pinot Noir territory).  Henriet-Bazin uses classic vinification in tank, no oak is utilized and malo-lactic fermentation is forbidden on all their cuvees.
