The Geoffroy family has been growing grapes in the village of Cumières, in the Vallée de la Marne, since the 1600s. Today Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy has the reputation for outstanding viticultural rigor. His Champagnes are made exclusively with sustainably grown grapes. In his words, “the search for harmony with nature is guided by our philosophy of respect for life and above all for the future generations who will live on this planet.” Once grapes are harvested, JB presses in a traditional Coquard press. This method is slow and gentle ~ rare because of the physically taxing work it entails.
